Tajikistan to start vaccination against Covid-19 in next few days

AKIPRESS.COM - The first phase of vaccination against COVID-19 will start in Tajikistan in next few days, Avesta reported with reference to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. The preparation for start of vaccination is in progress.
Vaccination will start with medical workers in Dushanbe and will cover other regions gradually, according to the vaccination plan of the Ministry of Health.
Tajikistan will use AstraZeneca vaccine, which requires two shots with the interval of 8-12 weeks (2-3 months).
192,000 doses of AstraZeneca arrived in Tajikistan through COVAX program on March 8.
Tajikistan will receive 624,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine in total.
