150,000 doses of China's Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine arrive in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - 150,000 doses of China's Shinopharm coronavirus vaccine arrived in Kyrgyzstan today.
The arrived vaccines were met by Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov, Ambassador of China Du Dewen, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Aliza Soltonbekova.
Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said earlier that 150,000 doses will suffice for vaccination of 75,000 people.
The Ministry of Health aims to vaccinate 70% of country population in total.
Medical workers working in red zones, family medicine centers, emergency health services, intesive care units, people with high risks of development of severe forms of coronavirus infection, teachers will be vaccinated first.
Temporary vaccination centers will be opened in 4 medical facilities in Bishkek, 2 in Osh, in Kant and Sokuluk village of Chui region.
