Handover ceremony of World Bank-funded vehicles for medical facilities held in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The ceremony of handover of 15 Niva off-road vehicles purchased as part of World Bank-funded project was held today in Bishkek.
"We decided to distribute these vehicles between mountainous districts for the purpose of quality and fast work in those areas," Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
The Minister said all district family medicine centers have vehicles. Some of vehicles aged and will be replaced now, the Minister said.
"Such big regions as Osh, Jalal-Abad and Chui regons need vehicles. Other regions do not need them," the Minister added.
Two vehicles will go to the state sanitary and epidemiological control department, 1 to Batken region, 1 to Chui region, 1 to Talas region, 2 to Naryn region, 2 to Issyk-Kul region, 3 to Jalal-Abad region, 3 to Osh region.
