Kyrgyzstan preparing for vaccination of population with Russia's vaccines - Japarov

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan is preparing for vaccination of population with Russian vaccines, President Sadyr Japarov told RIA Novosti. Japarov noted an active cooperation in preparation for start of vaccination of population against coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan with Russia's vaccines.
He said the Russian vaccines were included into the special list of medicines by the Ministry of Health and Social Development that may be imported without registration. The Ministry of Health said earlier Russia's coronavirus vaccine Sputnik-V was registered in Kyrgyzstan.
"Algorithm of distribution of incoming vaccines has been prepared at this stage. The warehouses are ready to receive vaccines. Preparations started to train medical workers on how to keep and use COVID-19 vaccines," President Japarov stated.
Vaccination in Kyrgyzstan will be carried out in three stages, Japarov said. Medical workers, workers of vital support companies, law enforcers will be vaccinated first. Citizens with risks of development of severe forms, vulnerable citizens and all willing will be vaccinated then.
"We are a small country and the disease can cause a huge harm for us. This is why vaccination is important for us for saving lives and return to normal without any restrictions," President Japarov stated.
