U.S. welcomes detention of ex-Deputy Chairman of State Customs Service Matraimov charged of corruption and money laundering

AKIPRESS.COM - The United States welcomes investigation against and detention of ex-Deputy Chairman of State Customs Service Raimbek Matraimov on charges of corruption and money laundering, the U.S. Embassy said on Twitter.
The Embassy said it is ready to work with law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan in location of stolen assets and their return to people of Kyrgyzstan when proven.
The State National Security Committee detained Raimbek Matraimov on February 18 as part of the criminal probe into money laundering.
