Former Minister comments on new government structure

AKIPRESS.COM - The government structure was recently changed, some ministries were merged. Former Minister of Transport and Roads Bakyt Berdaliyev told Tazabek about his plans after he left his post and shared his opinion about the new structure of the Ministry of Transport.
He said adding the architecture function to the Ministry is still unclear how it will affect the Ministry's work in practice. He does not know how effective this measure is.
"Maybe it was a hurried decision," he added.
But Berdaliev agreed with the president that reducing the number of agencies to 12 is a necessary step, as a big number of ministries is too much for such a small country as Kyrgyzstan.
Berdaliev said that he would continue public service. "I have devoted about 20 years to public service," he noted.
