AKIPRESS.COM - COVID-19 situation is tense in Bishkek, State Sanitary and Epidemiological Department Deputy Director Ainagul Riskulbekova said at the meeting with principals of schools today.
Respiratory viral infections are registered among children in the capital, she said.
"Children, who caught coronavirus infection, mailnly contracted it from family members at home. Mothers sent children to school despite they were ill," she said.
"For instance, one mother fell ill on February 5 and received treatment at home, but she sent her child to school. When she felt unwell on February 8 and visited hospital, she tested positive for coronavirus infection. The child became unwell on February 9, then the second child in the family fell ill," she said.
