IKEA to build furniture factory outside Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - IKEA will build a furniture factory in Tashkent region. The project has been included into the program of investment projects planned for the region, Kun.uz reported.
The factory will occupy 5.5 ha area. The factory will produce 3,200 furniture items for $17 million a year, Tashkent region administration's press service chief Bekhzod Kobulov told Kun.uz.
The project is estimated at $52 million, foreign investments will make almost $42 million.
320 new work places will be created with launch of the factory due in 22 months.
355 projects worth $1.6 billion will be launched in Tashkent region this year.
187 new investment projects are planned.
