MP laughs at deputy minister "of the ministry that does not exist anymore"

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Minister of Economy Bekbolot Aliev presented the draft amendments to the non-tax revenues code of Kyrgyzstan to the members of the parliament committee on economic and fiscal policy on Feb 9.
MP Dastan Bekeshev asked Aliev's current role. Aliev replied that he is a deputy minister of economy.
Bekeshev reminded that there is no such a ministry anymore.
Aliev noted that the prime minister's order regarding the ministry has not yet come into effect.
"Perhaps, while you're sitting here, the order is already functional and you don't hold that role anymore. It's funny that you are a deputy minister at the Ministry of Economy, which no longer exists. Here it is unclear who is defending what," said MP Bekeshev.
Previously Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov proposed to merge the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance and create one Ministry of Economy and Finance. The merger is aimed at boosting responsibility for the budget as raising budget income today is a top priority, he explained.
