Construction of 3 additional warehouses done at Irkeshtam checkpoint, number of vehicles passing through this checkpoint expected to grow: Ambassador

AKIPRESS.COM - The government of the Kyrgyz Republic will take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of Chinese companies and enterprises and citizens of China working in the Kyrgyz Republic, said Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev during the meeting with Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen. Particular attention was paid to the issue of full operation of Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints.
Ms Dewen said that on February 2, 2021, the Chinese side finished the construction of 3 additional warehouses at Irkeshtam checkpoint, which should contribute to increasing the number of vehicles passing through this checkpoint.
