Uzbekistan plans mass vaccination against COVID-19 since late February

AKIPRESS.COM - PfizerBioNTech coronavirus vaccines will be delivered to Uzbekistan within around a month, Batyr Kadyrov, member of the nation-wide team for coronavirus containment said.
Mass vaccination is planned since late February or early March, he said.
"Coronavirus vaccination will cover the whole country, but this process will be gradual. Some 100,000 doses of PfizerBioNTech coronavirus vaccine were ordered to start vaccination. Other vaccines may be used upon their licensing and certification," he said.
It was announced earlier Uzbekistan will receive 100,000 doses of PfizerBioNTech COVID-19 vaccine through COVAX program.
The third phase of clinical trials of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine is ongoing in Uzbekistan. More than 3,400 volunteers were vaccinated already.
