Uzbekistan plans to start production of Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan plans to certify Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V and to start its production, Deputy Health Minister Bahodir Yusupaliev said.
"The work is in progress on fast certification of Sputnik V vaccine. The talks are also in progress on start of vaccine production in Uzbekistan," he said.
He said the clinical trial of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine is in progress. "Eight Chinese specialists visited our country. 3,133 volunteers participate in the trials, no side effects were reported so far," he added.
The Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Service has highly qualified specialists necessary for vaccination, the Deputy Health Minister said.
It was reported earlier Uzbekistan will receive 100,000 doses of Pfizer/Biotech coronavirus vaccines through COVAX program.
