Police officers survive armed attack in Kara-Kulja district of Osh region

AKIPRESS.COM - Police officers received gunshot wounds in an attack by unidentified perpetrator in Kara-Kulja, Osh region, region police department's press secretary Jenishbek Ashirbaev said.
One of police officers was in his car at night of January 12-13 when unidentified man opened fire from a double-barrelled gun through the car front side window in Kara-Kulja village.
When the investigation group of police arrived at the scene, an unknown perpetrator shot another police officer exiting the police car into his back. The police officer managed to fire one shot into the perpetrator, who escaped.
Two wounded police officers were transported to a hospital.
Manhunt operation was launched in Kara-Kulja district. The roadblocks were set up in Ak-Kya and Kara-Kulja villages.
