Voter turnout should exceed 30% for referendum to be valid

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission will recognize the referendum as valid in case over 30% of citizens included into the voter list have voted in the referendum, according to the constitutional law on referendum.
On December 10, the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan passed the bill on referendum on government system in the 2nd and 3rd readings.
The referendum will be held on one day with the early presidential elections - January 10.
Voters will choose between parliamentary or presidential systems.
