Broader gasification planned in Bishkek to tackle air pollution

AKIPRESS.COM - The mayor's office of Bishkek plans to work on gasification of the capital more actively, said acting mayor Balbak Tulobayev said on December 30. The Gazprom promised to lower the price of gas for heating, he noted.
Commenting on the issue of air pollution, the acting mayor said that perhaps Kara-Keche coal will not be brought into the capital. This coal has high ash content. The capital will switch to gas.
"Cars will also be converted to gas," said Tulobayev, giving the example of Istanbul, where everything has also been switched to gas.
