Construction of monorail transport system to cost cheaper in Bishkek, mayor's office says

AKIPRESS.COM - The route for monorail transport system is ready in Bishkek, acting mayor Balbak Tulobaev told a press conference today.
The acting mayor said this is the project of future that needs to be realized. He said construction of the monorail transport system will be cheaper in Bishkek than in other cities.
"27 km of monorail were built for $300 million in Seoul. Bishkek has two rivers: Ala-Archa and Alamedin, this is the route, there is no need to build anything, to dig, to buy land plots, we just need to install the system and monorail," Tulobaev said.
He added in future it would be possible to get to Karakol in Issyk-Kul region by monorail transport.
