Kyrgyzstan steps up security measures on its borders in run up to snap presidential elections

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan is stepping security measures on its borders from December 25 to January 15, 2021 in connection with the upcoming early presidential elections and referendum set for January 10.
The control measures will be tightened on border crossing points of the country.
These actions are taken in connection with the resolution of the Security Council of December 24.
The State National Security Committee is tasked to take proactive actions to prevent conflicts in border areas.
