Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan receives Special Book Award of China for translation of Xi Jinping's book

AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Baktygul Kalambekova was awarded the Special Book Award of China at the 14th awarding ceremony on December 18 in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing for her contribution into development and promotion of bilateral cultural ties, as well as for translation of the book on public administration by Chinese President Xi Jinping into Kyrgyz language.
This year the winners of the Special Book Award of China included representatives of 15 countries, including Russia, UK, Argentina, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, U.S. and other countries, who were selected from 314 candidates.
All winners could not attend the ceremony due to COVID-19 pandemic. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Kanaim Baktygulova received the award on behalf of Ambassador Baktygul Kalambekova.
The Special Book Award of China is an annual award established by the State Press and Publication Administration of the People's Republic of China to recognize foreign translators, writers and publishers who have made significant contributions to introducing China, translating and publishing Chinese books, and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
