Kyrgyzstan has registered 169,000 cancer cases, 37,000 children among them

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has officially registered 169,000 patients with cancer, Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev said today in Parliament.
This figure includes 37,000 children, he said
Cancer is on the second-third place in morbidity and mortality rate in Kyrgyzstan, he said.
In 40% of cases, patients have final stages of cancer.
The real figure of people with cancer is much bigger, the Deputy Health Minister said.
The Ministry of Health is working to enhance measures to prevent cancer, he said.
