AKIPRESS.COM - Emissions of the Bishkek combined heat and power plant contribute 10-15% in overall air pollution of the capital. There is an official conclusion, National Energy Holding Vice Chairman Askhat Berdiev told a press conference in Bishkek. He said all think the combined heat and power plant pollutes the air, but the plant has quality filters.
Coal burning is not the only reason of air pollution in Bishkek, he added.
"Air is polluted by burning of sewing industry waste, cars with removed catalytic converters. Such cars are the main reason of air pollution," he said.
