Kyrgyz parliament passes CIS cooperation deal on preparedness in the event of nuclear accident

AKIPRESS.COM - Parliament of Kyrgyzstan passed in three readings the law on ratification of the cooperation agreement between CIS member states on preparedness in the event of a nuclear accident or radiation emergency and mutual assistance in eliminating their consequences signed on November 2, 2018 in Astana.
According to the agreement, the parties cooperate with each other to facilitate the immediate provision of assistance in the event of a nuclear accident or radiation emergency to minimize their consequences and to protect public health, property and the environment from the effects of radioactive emissions and ionizing radiation.
