Russia's Astrakhan ready to receive around 10,000 migrant workers from Uzbekistan in 2021

AKIPRESS.COM - Russia's Astrakhan region is ready to receive around 10,000 migrant workers from Uzbekistan for agricultural works in 2021, Astrakhan region Minister of Agriculture and Fishery Ruslan Pashaev said during virtual talks with officials of the council of ministers of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region administration. The Agriculture Minister said workers are also needed for fish processing plants and construction sector.
Uzbekistan holds the first place in number of migrant workers legally working in Astrakhan region of Russia.
The sides agreed to develop the joint action plan for cooperation in labor migration.
