Dariga Nazarbayeva running for parliament from Nur Otan party

AKIPRESS.COM - Candidates for Mazhilis, the lower house of Kazakh parliament, from Nur Otan party were named.
The party list includes former Senate speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva, Prime Minister Askar Mamin, First Deputy Chairman of Nur Otan Party Bauyrzhan Baybek, Head of President's Administration Yerlan Koshanov, Mazhilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin, Deputy Prime Minister Eraly Tugzhanov, head of the Samruk-Kazyna fund Akhmetzhan Yessimov, and former Labor Minister Tamara Duissenova.
In total, the party list consists of 126 candidates. 77 of them were determined by the internal party primaries, and 49 - by the central party quota.
Women account for a third of the members' list. The average age of candidates is 48 years old.
