AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan is holding talks with Russia concerning purchase of coronavirus vaccine, Deputy Prime Minister Elvira Surabaldieva told a press briefing today.
Surabaldieva said Kyrgyzstan sent a letter in August for import of the coronavirus vaccine.
"It was estimated how many vaccines the country will need, the schedule of arrival and registration of vaccine in Kyrgyzstan was elaborated. Our experts are in Moscow studying development and clinical trials of Sputnik-V coronavirus vaccine," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Kyrgyzstan is monitoring effectiveness of coronavirus vaccines developed in other countries as well, she added. "If the vaccines preferred by the World Health Organization are produced, the position of Kyrgyzstan is ready on them. The work in this direction is carried out," Surabaldieva said.
