Tajikistan cancels New Year celebrations due to Covid-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Tajikistan has canceled festive events on occasion of the New Year. The nation-wide operative team for coronavirus control banned New Year parties, cultural and mass events and festivities.
Such prohibition is explained with second Covid-19 wave, deterioration of economic and financial crisis, growth of unemployment worldwide.
Visits to parks, presence in public place is allowed with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols, face masks are mandatory.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Tajikistan reached 11,731 with 42 new coronavirus cases and one death registered yesterday.
