State border service of Kyrgyzstan transferred to National Security Committee

AKIPRESS.COM - The State Border Service has been transferred to the National Security Committee by the order of acting President, Prime Minister Sadyr Japarov.
The order is aimed to improve the state border protection system, prevent the threat of intrusion of international gangs into the country, to improve the effectiveness of the fight against the smuggling of goods and cargo, drugs and weapons into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic from neighboring states as part of the optimization of the functions of state executive authorities.
The National Security Committee Border Service located in Bishkek has been created.
The Director of the National Security Committee will be the first deputy chairman of the National Security Committee.
GKNB is assigned to make proposals on changing normative and legal acts regulating the activity of the State Border Service within a month.
