Nur-Sultan comments on situation in Nagorno-Karabakh

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has released a statement on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"We welcome the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh declared by the President of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of Armenia and President of Russia," the statement said.
The reached agreements comply with the UN Security Council resolutions and can serve as a basis for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the statement said.
The Ministry highlighted the Russian Federation's role in achieving this agreement and its peacekeeping efforts aimed at implementation of the agreements.
The Ministry hoped that in this difficult time, the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples will strive to create a solid foundation for establishing peace and harmony and ensuring security in the region.
On November 10, Nikol Pashinyan, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on end of Nagorno-Karabakh war. The declaration has followed six weeks of heavy fighting and advancement by the Azerbaijan's forces. Baku said on Monday it had seized dozens more settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh, a day after proclaiming victory in the battle for the enclave's strategically positioned second-largest city.
