Families of 28 medical workers who died from coronavirus infection received 1 million soms compensations

AKIPRESS.COM - Families of 28 medical workers who died from coronavirus infection were paid 1 million soms compensations each, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
Compensation applications were received from 2,353 medical workers, who contracted coronavirus infection while working in Covid-19 red zone, the Health Minister said.
"377 medical workers were paid one-off 200,000 soms compensations each. Funding was not received in August-September and for this reason compensations were not paid to medical workers timely. The funding was received and we began paying compensations," the Minister said.
Those medical workers who contracted coronavirus infection beyond work places will not be paid compensations.
"A commission is working. In case a medical worker visited some kind of celebration or wedding and was infected there, compensation will not be paid," the Minister said.
