Kyrgyzstan and Japan discuss cooperation in disaster risk reduction

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Boobek Ajikeev met with Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan Shigeki Maeda on November 6, the Ministry's press service reported.
Bilateral cooperation in prevention and liquidation of consequences of natural disasters was in focus of discussions.
The Minister of Emergency Situations expressed gratitude to the Ambassador of Japan for support of various programs and projects, noting experience of Japan in prevention and liquidation of consequences of emergency situations.
Ambassador Shigeki Maeda in turn wished productive work to the Emergency Minister.
The sides reached agreement to boost cooperation in disaster risk reduction.
