Serology testing for COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan found over 2 million contracted coronavirus by August

AKIPRESS.COM - The first phase of serology testing for COVID-19 antibodies was completed in Kyrgyzstan, head of viral infections research center Zuridin Nurmatov said.
More than 30% of population had asymptomatic form of coronavirus, he said.
70% of people who had COVID-19 antibodies had coronavirus symptoms.
Only 22% of population who have COVID-19 antibodies visited medical facilities and only 6% were hospitalized.
"As of the beginning of August, more than 2 million people in the country contracted and recovered from coronavirus. This figure may grow further," he said.
Nurmatov said 13% of population in Jalal-Abad region have COVID-19 antibodies. In Naryn, 62% of population have antibodies.
"Only 15% of population have COVID-19 antibodies in Batken and Osh regions. In Bishkek, 50% of population have antibodies," Zuridin Nurmatov stated.
