AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan faces no default threat, said First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov on October 30 at a press conference in Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan has almost fully made payments on foreign debts for 2020, several installments are left.
Negotiations on restructuring and prolongation of foreign debt is underway now, he reminded.
"If appropriate agreements are reached, the payment will be delayed. If not, Kyrgyzstan will fulfill all its obligations on foreign debt. There is no risk of default today," Novikov said.
