AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has not registered officially confirmed coronavirus reinfections, Disease and Epidemiological Department's epidemiological division chief Dinara Otorbaeva told AKIpress.
The epidemiological investigation is in progress. A group of epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists, researchers of the Medical Academy conduct investigation.
"We should study all cases," she said.
On October 19, Bishkek Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department Chief Kuban Kundashev said 7 COVID-19 reinfections were registered in the capital.
Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev also said 7 cases were registered in Bishkek, when patients had symptoms similar to coronavirus infection second time. "We can't talk about the reinfection yet. Virus can shed for 90 days. Such symptoms are possible in case of presence of antibodies. It is also possible that these are results of insufficient rehabilitation. But all these cases should be thoroughly studied," Usenbayev said.
