Kyrgyzstan-EAEU trade hit $1.4bn in 8 months

AKIPRESS.COM - Mutual trade of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Eurasian Economic Union member states amounted to $1,459.2 million in January-August 2020 and decreased by 19.4% year on year, according to the National Statistics Committee. Exports to the EAEU countries amounted to $328.8 million in 7 months of 2020, imports - $1,130.4 million.
The decrease in exports to the EAEU countries by 22% was due to the decrease in export of footwear by 7.9 times and cotton fiber by 2.6 times and textile clothing by 2.1 times.
