Embassy of Japan hands over respirators valued at almost $116,000 to Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The National Phthisiology Center received N95 respirators valued at $115,814 on October 22, the Embassy of Japan said.
These respirators were purchased as part of the project on inclusive and multi-sector COVID-19 response and elimination of its socio-economic consequences in Kyrgyzstan funded by the government of Japan for the sum of $1.2 million. The project supports Kyrgyzstan's COVID-19 response.
Kyrgyzstan sees resurgence in COVID-19 cases and it is necessary to prepare for possible spike in winter time. It is also important to recover from the damage caused for society and national economy for the past 8 months and to create conditions for further development, Ambassador Shigeki Maeda said.
