Paper ballots will be used during parliamentary elections of Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Paper ballots will be used during the elections to the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan, said Chairman of the Central Election Commission Berik Imashev. "No online voting is envisaged in the laws. We will conduct these elections by the usual system using paper ballots," Imashev said.
Elections to the Mazhilis (lower house) of Parliament and Maslikhats (local councils) will be held in Kazakhstan on January 10, 2021.
There are six registered political parties in Kazakhstan as of October 2020: Nur Otan party, Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan, People's Communist Party of Kazakhstan, Auyl People's Democratic Party, Birlik political party, and the National Social Democratic Party.
Three factions of the political parties are currently represented in Kazakhstan's parliament: Nur Otan, People's Communist, and Ak Zhol.
