President Mirziyoyev gifts apartment in Tashkent to journalist who was earlier accused of infringement on constitutional order

AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gifted a 3-room apartment with furniture and home appliances in residential complex in Tashkent to journalist Bobomurod Abdullaev, he said on Facebook.
The journalist said he moved in on October 5.
Bobomurod Abdullaev was detained by the State National Security Committee officers on August 9 on request of Uzbek authorities and was extradited to Uzbekistan on August 22.
Kyrgyz attorneys of Bobomurod Abdullaev said Uzbek authorities accused the journalist of infringement on the President of Uzbekistan, constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On August 23, the journalist was released on written pledge of proper conduct.
Bobomurod Abdullaev criticized late President Islam Karimov and his regime for 13 years under pseudonym Usman Haknazarov. In 2017, the security agency found out it was Bobomurod Abdullaev, he was detained on charges of attempt on the constitutional order of Uzbekistan. In May 2018 he was sentenced to 1.5 year suspended sentence and was released in courtroom. Before arrival in Kyrgyzstan, Abdullaev stayed in Germany.
