Number of coronavirus cases increased 4 times in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - As of October 9, the number of newly confirmed coronavirus cases reached over 18,300 in total since the beginning of the pandemic, said mayor Aziz Surakmatov during a briefing at the Bishkek mayor's office on Oct 9. He said the number of infections is increasing over the past week.
In October there were 19 cases of infections in Bishkek and in recent days this number has increased 4 times to 77 cases a day, he said.
The number of asymptomatic carriers is also increasing.
Acting vice mayor Victoria Mozgacheva said in case of deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the capital, the Bishkek mayor's office is ready to return makeshift hospitals to provide medical aid to the population.
