President Jeenbekov awards outstanding COVID-19 frontliners

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov today awarded medical workers and others who have made outstanding contribution into COVID-19 fight, the president's press service reported.
Medical workers, rescue workers, law enforcers, medical school students, journalists were awarded.
"I would like to note with pride a high level of solidarity and unity of our nation. Many citizens, regardless of age and position, actively provided support and aid to those in need. Unity of our people saved hundreds of lives of our citizens," the President stated.
Jeenbekov also noted support of international organizations and partner countries. He reminded medical professionals arrived from Russia and China. He also expressed gratitude to expats who provided aid and support.
The country faces one task now - prevention of further spread of coronavirus infection, the President emphasized.
"We try to consolidate efforts of government agencies, civil society and businesses, international partners. Each citizen should realize responsibility for themselves and their closed ones," the President stressed.
