Tajikistan, Uzbekistan consider ways to broaden transport cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim met with the delegation of Uzbekistan led by First Deputy Minister of Transport Ilhom Mahkamov.
Bilateral cooperation in transportation was in focus of discussions. The sides exchanged views on further expansion of this cooperation, the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan said.
The ways to increase freight transportation, cooperation in railway transportation and launch of new routes were considered during the talks.
Azim Ibrohim said the situation during the last several months demonstrated a special place of ground transport in economic and social development of any country. He suggested to make more efforts to expand cooperation in this area.
