AKIPRESS.COM - Bashkortostan governor Radiy Habirov thanked mayors and district governors for support provided to citizens of Kyrgyzstan standed in the Republic, Komsomolskaya Pravda - Ufa reported.
More than 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were traveling to the Russian-Kazakh border, however Orenburg region authorities denied entry into their region. Hundreds of buses with citizens of Kyrgyzstan were stuck on the border with Orenburg region.
The local authorities in Bashkortostan arranged a tent camp for stranded Kyrgyzstanis and provided them with meals.
"I would like to thank governors of the districts. Aurgaza district, Salavat, Kumertau, thank you! I asked to provide shelter for them. People are in a difficult situation, this is not their fault. Not all received them as you did. It is right that they were provided with shelter and meals. We may find ourselves in such trouble once," the head of Bashkortostan said.
