Ex-Kyrgyz Health Minister brought damage to state for 65 million soms, authorities say

AKIPRESS.COM - Former Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev is suspected of abuse of office, Prosecutor General's Office elaborated.
Cholponbayev is suspected of abusing his power by signing a contract for consulting services not meeting the interests of the state, thus causing damage to the state budget of about 65 million soms, the statement said.
He was taken to pre-trial detention center #1 in Bishkek for 2 months by court's ruling on Sept 17.
He will be kept in custody until November 15.
