Kyrgyzstan needs to develop methodology for measurement of corruption level in government agencies - Jeenbekov

AKIPRESS.COM - "A new anti-corruption strategy should become continuation of the efforts made for the last several years," President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at the meeting of the Security Council on September 17. Security Council Secretary Damir Sagynbaev presented a draft of the state anti-corruption strategy for 2021-2024.
The President reminded the previous state anti-corruption strategy was adopted in 2012. It responded to the challenges and threats faced by the country at that time.
"However, corrupt officials invent new corruption mechanisms almost every hour. We need to continue improving anti-corruption laws, studying and analyzing the best world practices. We need to use the best methods and anti-corruption mechanisms in everyday work, create the national methodology for measurement of corruption level in government agencies. It will probe corrupt practices prone in our country and on the basis of its findings effective mechanisms of fight against corruption will be developed," the President said.
