Ex-Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan detained on power abuse charges

AKIPRESS.COM - Former Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kosmosbek Cholponbaev was detained, financial police told AKIpress on September 15.
Cholponbaev is suspected of power abuse and negligence.
The financial police earlier launched criminal probe against officials of the Ministry of Health.
It was established the key officials of the Ministry of Health abused power and signed unbeneficial contract for delivery of consultancy services contrary to the interests of the state, resulting in around 9 million soms damage for the public budget, the financial police said.
