AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan halted liquefied gas supplies to Tajikistan, Anti-Monopoly Service Chief Abdulmajid Muminzod said. Uzbekistan stopped export of liquefied gas to Tajikistan until the end of the year.
Kazakhstan stopped liquefied gas exports for September, the official said.
Kazakhstan is repairing the biggest liquefied gas supplier to Tajikistan, whereas Uzbekistan has the grown demand for liquefied gas at the domestic market and the two biggest plants supplying fuel to Tajikistan are being upgraded.
Tajikistan imported more than 264,200 tons of liquefied gas for $102.11 million in January-July. 92.3% of imported fuel by Tajikistan accounts for Kazakhstan and 7.48% for Uzbekistan.
15 companies supply gas to Tajikistan.
