No census in Kyrgyzstan now, Statistics Committee says after reports about collection of personal information of voters

AKIPRESS.COM - The population and housing census is not conducted in Kyrgyzstan now, the National Statistics Committee reported.
Such statement was made following information shared by social media users that some unknown people visit households and collect personal information of citizens for the upcoming elections under pretence of population census.
The population census was planned in Kyrgyzstan from March 23 to April 1, but it was postponed until uncertain date due to COVID-19 pandemic.
