Above 50 CIS Interparliamentary Assembly observers to monitor parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Central Election Commission Chairperson Nurjan Shaildabekova met with Deputy Secretary General of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Nurbek Satvaldiev to discuss monitoring of parliamentary elections set for October 4 in Kyrgyzstan by CIS Interparliamentary Assembly observers. A goup of more than 50 CIS international observers is formed now, Nurbek Satvaldiev said.
The international observers, mainly members of Parliaments of the CIS countries will visit the regions of Kyrgyzstan, will become familiarized with work of precinct and polling station election commissions, will meet with representatives of political parties and local self-government bodies.
The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly observers will also monitor work of polling station commissions in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Minsk and Baku.
