Court cancels Central Election Commission's decision, Kyrgyzstan party back to parliamentary race

AKIPRESS.COM - The administrative court of Bishkek today sustained the claim of Kyrgyzstan party seeking invalidation of the decision of the Central Election Commission to return documents and this way to bar the party from parliamentary elections.
The Central Election Commission earlier returned documents since the party's documents for registration of candidates were submitted by improper person.
The court decision was announced behind the closed doors in presence of representatives of parties.
On August 25, the Central Election Commission made the decision to exclude Kyrgyzstan party from parliamentary race since the documents of the party were submitted to the Commission not by authorized representative of the party as required by the legislation.
The deadline for submission of documents for registration of candidates by political parties was 6.00 p.m. of August 24.
