Health Ministry calls for flu vaccination in autumn

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has called people to vaccinate against flu in early autumn.
"A big preparation for upcoming cold season is in progress, when it will be necessary to protect people from seasonal flu and such respiratory infection as COVID-19. The flu vaccines are expected to arrive in the second half of September," Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told a briefing today.
The Ministry of Health will try to cover as many people from risk groups as possible. Additional purchase of pneumococcal vaccine is considered, the Deputy Health Minister said.
The Deputy Health Minister urged citizens to take care of their health condition and get prepared for flu vaccination.
