AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan and Russia signed the agreement of mutual understanding between Russian Direct Investments Fund and SK Pharmacy on allocation of the guaranteed amount of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine after conclusion of all stages of trials, the Kazakh government's press service reported.
The Gamaleya National Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Center is ready to produce the necessary amount of vaccine doses for Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan will vaccinate risk groups voluntarily and free of charge. This will be possible only after conclusion of all stages of clinical trials of Sputnik V vaccine.
The agreement was signed as part of the working visit of the delegation of the Kazakh government to Russia. The sides discucssed relevants aspects of industrial cooperation, purchase of coronavirus vaccine for free immunization of population.
The Health Ministers of two countries held talks on cooperation in containment of coronavirus infection. The protocol of cooperation was signed upon conclusion of the talks.
