Kyrgyzstan hands over journalist detained in Bishkek to Uzbek authorities

AKIPRESS.COM - The Uzbek journalist detained in Bishkek was handed over to Uzbek authorities, the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan said.
Bobomurod Abdullaev was handed over on August 22 on the basis of the extradition order.
Uzbek authorities pledge Abdullaev will receive legal assistance, will not be tortured, cruelly treated and will have access to medical assistance if necessary.
Abdullaev was detained on August 8 in a cafe in Bishkek on the request of Uzbek law enforcement agencies. Abdullaev is reportedly wanted in Uzbekistan for several crimes.
